FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE!! CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!

Its summer and it's hot, but we won't let that stop our Christmas in July festivities will we? No way! Today we are going to share with you a delicious recipe for a quick, cool and refreshing frozen hot chocolate that you can enjoy anytime of year, but especially on a hot summer day! This is definitely made for sipping! A sweet slushy, chocolate treat that everyone in your family is going to love! If you are so inclined, add a splash of your favorite liqueur to boost this up and make a delicious adult beverage! I know, that no matter how you fix this it is going to be enjoyed by all, Holiday time or not!

This starts out with your favorite, instant hot chocolate mix. Whatever you like to keep on hand for warm wintertime treats. I am using my own, homemade version which happens to be sugar free, but you can use what you like. You can find my homemade hot cocoa mix recipes here;

1 cup of milk, 1 cup of heavy cream or 2 cups of half and half or whole milk or the non dairy milk of your choice. Blend with 1 cup of instant hot cocoa mix. I am using a blender because this is just the best way to achieve a smooth and frosty drink. Once the milk and the cocoa mix are blended well, add in 4 cups of ice and blend until frosty.

Swizzle some glasses with chocolate syrup, pour your drinks and top with whipped cream and Christmas sprinkles or like me, some mini chocolate chips! Make this one the way you like best! Like it minty? Add some mint extract! Like a mocha? Use some coffee ice cubes if you like or toss in a couple tablespoons of instant coffee granules to give that delicious coffee flavor! You can go a lot of places with this. Flavor it up your way and make everyone happy!
