I got stuck on top of the Ferris Wheel when I was six, my brother started rocking the seat we were in, never been on one since.

As someone who was paid $30 once to spend 12 hours (well below minimum wage even at the time) to take down carnival rides, I can confirm you don't want to ride on these things. 90% of the people working on putting them up and taking them down have never done it before, and the ones that do know mostly are ready to move to the next town and don't care.

I used to go on senior day. My city senior group reserved a bus. Every year it’s half empty. @5 days before anyone welcome. Cheap trip, nice retired greyhound bus, parked right in fairgrounds. Crowd was not bad. I was @20. Did that @7 years in a row.
