NASA Lost Contact with Voyager 2!

NASA has officially lost contact with Voyager 2, one of the two spacecraft that have been traveling the longest in deep space outside of our solar system. Is this the end for this monumental mission?

Man that's sad. I know robotic things don't have emotions, but I can't help but feel sad for voyager 2. It's representing us. An extension of us. The little engine that could.

They’ve already re-establish contact with it!

Luckily, using their most powerful antenna, they got a message thru to Voyager to correct its antenna direction back to earth. Because launching in 1977, all of Voyager's programming was done by men. And they never programmed it to stop and ask for directions!!! So Voyager could have been wandering around the universe aimlessly for all of eternity, thinking it almost got it!

Australia reconnected the craft with NASA yesterday.

It is no longer Voyager 2, it is now V-ger.

They already restored contact after blasting the correct instruction in the general direction of Voyager 2 from an antenna in Canberra Australia hoping the spacecraft would pick it up...and it seems to have worked. They said they've got full communication back.
