Makhni Mutton Karahi
Ingredients:
Water (for boiling) as required
Mutton 1 kg
Nurpur Butter 5 tbsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Tomatoes (half cut) 3
Salt 1 ½ tsp / to taste
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Mutton stock 1 cup
Yogurt 1 cup
Green coriander for garnishing
Green chilies (chopped) for garnishing
Ginger (julienne) for garnishing
Nurpur butter 1 tbsp
Directions:
1. In a pot heat water and add mutton. Boil for 30-45 mins or until meat gets tender.
2. Now take off the flame and reserve the stock for later use.
3. In another pot heat Nurpur Butter, oil and add boiled mutton.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
5. Now add half tomatoes and cover and cook over medium low flame for 15 minutes. Take off lid and peel off the skin of tomatoes.
6. Now add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, black pepper powder and mix well.
7. Add mutton stock and cook for 5 minutes.
8. Add yogurt and cook for 10 minutes or until oil separates.
9. Now garnish it with ginger, coriander, green chilies, butter and serve. Your Makhni mutton karahi is ready.
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 1 hr.
