On 12 April I flew Bravo Sierra Victor up to Yarrawonga for her long awaited new paint job. For logistical and COVID 19 Melbourne lock down reasons, it has been a long wait to fly BSV back to Moorabbin.
When the day arrived we were fogged in so I waited until it lifted a little, finally departing around 13:15. This is that departure.
The trip up to Yarrawonga started at 04:30 the day before. It was raining. I walked to the local station in the rain to find that buses were replacing trains - expect a 50 minute delay, so I took an Uber to the city. Next, the ticket office didn't open on time, then the train was cancelled, then I found another train, etc. etc.
I stayed overnight at the Yarrawonga Hotel, one of my worst ever decisions. Rude staff and doof doof music from downstairs into the early morning.
The good side was Ian Reid at Douglas Aviation did a superb paint job. Thanks Ian. And I had my ATC friend from my Mangalore training flight greet me on the first radio call.

Nice! You're getting more IMC than me at present. Good job.
