In today's vid I'll share with you some advice for GREATLY improving your painting results.
We'll do that using Careful Planning & Careful Execution!

I find that once in a while, when I REALLY like a scene - doing this comes very naturally to me.
I put way more effort, planning and care into it - and the result definitely rises above the rest.

It's not something that will ALWAYS work, but it does increase your odds significantly.

I hope you'll give it a try, and I hope you enjoy this one! 🙏😊

Liron I love your honesty. I knew intuitively that it was possible even for a novice to make a wonderful painting if they only used what I call the 3 p’s….planning, patience and perseverance. But you gave my feelings a verification with this video. I cannot stress enough how encouraging and inspiring this video is. Thank you! Your painting is fantastic… it reminds me of the work of Mary Whyte whose book Painting Portraits and Figures in Watercolor I have.

I stumbled upon a useful technique. Paint two versions of the same picture at the same time. The first is used as the trial picture, the second is the desired picture. So before you apply any paint to the desired picture, you trial out the colour and brushwork on the first one. Often this will look horrible, but it has alerted you to a problem. Now you can make a change to resolve that problem before attempting it on the main picture.
The difference between the two finished paintings is always huge!

You should look into traditional tattoo flash painting. It’s a very different style of art but a lot of flash painters use watercolor. I feel like you could give some insights to using whatever with that style of art.

Man it is so amazing to see you working on this piece! I mean that feeling after you finish a next-level painting is just amazing. And I agree, precise and clear drawing does wonders to your painting.

Stunning! Love how you repeat ( and I need to hear it over and over) shapes, cool then warm, connect… wonderful image with so much story! I loved how you were not married to represent the “exact” colours of everything. I need to work on that more… with a clean palette. 😂😂 love to listen to your positive voice in the morning! Now my wood duck painting might get a second chance… talk about piece by piece….thanks for the pep talk! I’ve got this! Repeat. ❤

Yes, you're absolutely right, I just hadn't put it in these words before. My Muse tells me she wants to paint something in particular, I draw it out well, and even before I put pigment on the paper I *know* it will be beautiful. Because she knows how to do the rest. At first this made me uncomfortable, but now I have faith in her. I've been painting 11 months now, and she has inspired some beautiful paintings. Thank you for all your instruction! ❤

I absolutely love the way you explain what you're doing. I can feel the passion and enthusiasm in the way you speak. It's amazing how you are helping less experienced people. I've never find videos that are in the same level as this.

Making corrections is most difficult and that often leads to overworking the paper. If I'm not happy with the results, it's best to start again and try avoiding those mistakes. Beautiful work, you make it look simple.
