Ok so... in episode 12 when they started playing this I felt something. I have no idea what to call it... but when they stopped and everything was silent for a couple seconds, then they began playing their instruments one by one, then finally Yui whips back around to the mic and shouts "One more time!" before they jump back into the chorus and it shows shots of the empty rooms they spent time in... well... I cried. I can't even begin to tell you why. The show wasn't ending, the season still had two more episodes, nobody died, there weren't any huge changes, the story never felt all that deep. So like... what the hell? What happened?

It's really hard to say, but I feel like this show spends a lot of time making these characters feel real, like people you go to school with, like they're your friends. So when they're on that stage, and you see Yui focused and excited about something for the first time in her life after seeing how in the first episode she had no idea what she was doing at all, you feel proud. The way she runs to their live show after getting Geeta directly parallels her running to school in the first episode (kinda obvious) but this time she doesn't let anything stop or distract her because she knows what she wants to do and what's important to her. It's really simple, and I don't think that's all it was, but god damn it made me feel. I still don't understand it yet, but this show is something special
