the break and the orchestral hit come from "ZERO G Datafile 3" a cd samples from 1992

When this song came out I was a DJ in Maidstone in the UK. The 12" was the loudest record I had in my crate - the kick drum was just ridiculous - this was especially important when you had everything cranked up to the max, the only problem was whatever you played afterwards was going to sound quiet. Ending the night with every knob turned to 11 was how it was in those days.

very nice explanations. You clearly have a lot of knowledge of music and mixing and sound editing. Layering is a HUGE piece of the puzzle. I bet people don't realize that one sound is not just one sound most of the time these days. Complexity, interesting parts, interesting sounds... layering is one way to do it. Great

That random trill I had no idea was in there. Dead ringer for the track. Amazing work.

Great content ! Love your videos :D
After looking for a week or two for the "hit"/"horn" sample I found that it came from the "Zero G - Datafile 3" sample pack
according to people, other samples from the disk were found on Homework

You missed the drum fill when the track comes in fully close to the beginning.
