I've been seeing these open-handed videos lately. I have somewhat of an issue with some of these videos. In the end, whatever works for you is it. However, in my opinion, a true open-handed set-up is not about having a set that's right or left... It should be a mirror image on both sides with the intention to showcase a players' right /left hands and feet. Mike Mangini is the perfect, and only, example as a true open-handed player.
