The only thing you got wrong, and it’s very important, is that you always play from right to left. So your initial card needs to be on the right. You build to the left with your cards. That’s why the spigot faces down and to the left. Otherwise good tutorial!

played as a child and just got it again on amazon for $8. good explanation.

Advice to anyone who wants this, don't buy it off of Amazon, you should be able to thrift it, likely for $3 or less.

I just picked up a 1972 copy, complete with 10 metal, brass finished, pipe wrenches, for free (after a store coupon). My cards have a lime green background though and the pipe artwork is more varied and realistic looking
