gyarados is like, a direct upgrade to melmetal
both are really beefy stage ones that take 4 energy to do anything else, but gyarados has way better deck options and a better attack on the weak basic counterpart (though amass can be better rarely)

I love how chatot helps! I like the new cards to create different play styles, im trying to get flute to work with Raichu or other cards that get power from bench

Gyarados' discard effect seems to randomly target pokemon that have energy attached, not randomly target an energy in play. That critical difference makes gary way better, plus being able to discard from the KO'd active. Neither of those factors come up on first reading the card.

After lots of testing I’m convinced this version is much more consistent than the Greninja version and is the best deck atm.

I like stramie ex with this deck instead lap.. 2 engery for 90 and free retreat. Have you tried it ? Reasons you dont like it ?

Chatot is not talked about enough. Use it in my Venusaur/Serperior deck as well as Gyarados

I tried the variation of this deck with Articuno instead of Lapras, I think its better
