PACK WITH ME - New York City in May - Spring Capsule Wardrobe Tips + Outfit Ideas UK Size 10/12

pack with me for our trip to New York this weekend! We will be there for 5 nights so I didn't want to overpack but the weather is a fickle one in Spring/Summer so I wanted to be prepared with lots of layers that can be mixed/matched in a capsule wardrobe style, dependant on how cold I am. New York can be very hot even in May. I went one year at that time of year (May/June) and it was roasting. I think you’re right to pack light layers. That second black dress looked lovely.

I love both long dresses - chic and versatile (day/night). I also have the issue where midi dresses are closer to maxi dresses, but i love them as they are.

Ok I love every choice of outfit 😍 I have also abandoned a denim shorts and now do a linen cotton mix shirt, so much comfier and breathable! I do have some denim shorts for at home though as I only iron for holidays 😂

I would say don’t worry if you don’t pack for the weather…good excuse to go clothes shopping if needed 😂 I worry a lot as I’m a size 26 and holiday in Spain..so I cannot find clothes to ever fit me lol

Ha, my husband pulls out the ironing board as soon as we arrive at the hotel! 😂. Re the black dress, I agree it is a bit too long. I’ve been sewing and altering my clothes for decades because I’m about the same height as you and everything is always too If I lived nearby I’d shorten it for you. 😊

Just to throw a spanner in the works - why not?! 😂 - I always mix all our stuff together, so each case has some clothes in for each of us, just in case one of them goes missing or gets delayed. Might be crazy but I heard about this from somewhere and now I can’t not do it!
