Just wanted to say thank you. I got a certified Referbished switch, and the instructions told me how to put the joy con's on, but did not tell me how to take them off. I didn't want to risk breaking it when I saw they wouldn't easily slide out, so I searched, and you were the first video that popped up. Thank you so much. You saved me from breaking my joy cons within 3 minutes of opening the box!

omg thank you, i was at my uncle's house and i was screwing around with the joycons and eventually i found this grip and i put them in, but then .... (in my mind) WHY CANT I GET THESE OUT I DONT WANNA BREAK IT THEY ARE STUCK I THINK I BROKE IT OH NO IM SO SCREWED! 2 minutes later, my uncle just gets up and effortlessly detaches them and i was just like w a t

Always had the Switch Lite ever since they came out, just yesterday got the OLED White version - felt stupid not being able to detach the joy cons from the controller 😅🙌🏼 thanks for showing it on a video, god bless.

No shame if one can't see how to detach before seeing a tutorial. It's not called being stupid, it's called being careful. I just got one, and i'm intending on having it last.

How do you use them both at the same time though? I have them turned on but can only use the analog and buttons on one side at a time...?
