2020 How Much Fun is the Yamaha 212X Jet Boat?

March 5, 2020. We replaced our 2008 Yamaha 212SS with a 2014 Yamaha 212X jet boat, designed for ski, wakeboard and wakesurf leisure sports. The boat is powered by dual 1.8 liter, 180 hp Yamaha marine engines for a combined 360 hp thrust. Wakeboard racks and ballast system (creates optimum height and shape of wake) come standard. Prior to use, we registered the boat in California, applied CF stickers on the hull and repaired/replaced a missing leg on the bimini frame. Finally, we tried out the boat on northern California rivers and lakes. Be the judge on how much fun the Yamaha 212X jet boat is.
