Tell me, would king Charles the III of England share his throne or share his realm with his butler, maid or subjects? Then how could he be a polytheist thinking that the Creator of this world has equals that have a share in His creation? They ascribe to Allah ﷻ what they deny for themselves. That's because they follow their desires and fathers blindly without knowledge.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن شُرَكَاءَ فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
He sets forth for you a parable from your ownselves: Do you have partners among those whom your right hands possess (i.e. your slaves) to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed upon you - whom you fear (loosing) as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the Ayat (Signs) in detail to a people who have sense.

بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْوَاءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۖ فَمَن يَهْدِي مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ
Nay, but those who do wrong (polytheism) follow their own lusts without knowledge. Then who will guide him whom Allah has sent astray? And for such there will be no helpers. [Ar-Rum 30:28-29]

وَكَذَ‌ٰلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ
And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad ﷺ) to any town (people) except that the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps, imitating."

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
(The warner that was sent) said: "Even if I bring you a better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?" They said: "Verily, we are of that with which you have been sent, disbelievers." [Az-Zukhruf 43:23-24]

إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path;

فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
So they (too) hastened in their footsteps!

وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
And indeed most of the men of old (ancients) went astray before them (similarly);

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers). [As-Saaffaat 37:69-72]

فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things). And that which they used to mock at surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). [Ghaafir 40:83]

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
And when it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided? [Al-Baqarah 2:170]
