I really cried during watching this. I wish there was a doctor like you here. My child has many problems and nobody cares or understands here because medicine is not developed here so much. It was amazing. Thanks for sharing 🙏

I like how she feels comfortable going to her dr for this. I probably wouldn’t have.

Honestly. I wish he was my doctor at times. He's so nice and honest when most doctors like mine unfortunately are kind of rude when it comes to bedtimes and stuff

Your a WONDERFUL educator Dr Paul!!!
My 4 boys all refused to go down for naps anymore by the time they were 16 months....they slept so much better at night.

You have no idea how helpful this video was. My son is literally having the same issue. He’s now 11months. Thank you Dr Paul

My son had sleep problems too from the time he was born. He could sleep for only 10, 15 or 20 mins . I thought it was "normal" only for him to be later diagnosed with menengitis which had really damaged his brain . He lost his life aged 1yr 3 weeks 💔. Is always wise to get a 2nd opinion though . Trust your gut

I have to watch again. I couldn’t concentrate for observing the well behaved and very patient sister.

I've been following you since before I was a parent because I loved that you insist on normalizing informed consent. My son is now 1 year old and I wish we could've had you to go to this past year. I went to the pediatrician multiple times for this same reason and never got any help.

Dr Paul is SO AMAZING at these kind of touchy discussions! Well done, with perfect combination of knowledge, experience and sensitivity.

My heart breaks for any child inflicted by insomnia. I had it as a kid. Still do now. It’s awful. It’s so taxing on your mental and physical health.

Can you please do an update on this family and how baby boy slept after the massage/massages? Did she choose sleep training?

My baby went through is the worst sleep regression for almost 3 months. I know how this mom feels.

I sooo regret my attempts at sleep training my firstborn. Anxiety is high with him. And he is still needy as an 8 yr old. I really thought I was doing the right thing but wish I had just skipped all the drama. Could be a personality thing but his younger brother (not sleep trained) is way more emotionally well adjusted and confident. 🤷‍♀️

Yes I want to add the Raised Good Summit and website is a good starting place for the mamas to get the up to date research on raising children to get their attachment needs met. Responding to babies 24/7 does not spoil them, that's a myth.
I also instinctively think sleep training causes subconscious issues (whether minor or major) later down the line. Though there are different types of training to consider with slightly different research outcomes, I think the natural way of nursing back to sleep and co-sleeping is best for attachment needs.

Mom is giving him positive reinforcement every time he wakes up. No wonder he’s doing that.
