A rambling comment no-one asked for, i want to say my piece and get my thoughts off my chest, thats all this is. 

Ive been into the armed since what i feel like day 1 to me. since the release of the common enemies 7'' (i have number 167) and i can tell you now for anyone who has just got into this band, they have been pushing the boundaries in heavy music in all aspects from the start. what made me fall in love with the band in the first place was not only the music was killer, it was free - which was really unheard of for such a production and it felt like i was in a secret club to be apart of. i felt like i was part of the band. by ordering a vinyl it was like i could see where the money went, and it was to them, just to keep creating (in whatever manifestation it was back then) i got number 15 of the incredible laser cut spreading joy and also bought the personalised hoody which funded some of their first full length album untitled and also only love on gold vinyl. 

everything they did i loved. i even made my own t shirts because at the time they didn't have any i could ship to england and when they did, i ordered all those. I was hooked. i was prepared to support them in every way possible. but then things changes when i saw the live for the first time at boston music rooms in London. there was no way in planet earth i was missing it and i came away very disappointed. They ran strobes and smoke throughout the whole performance, you couldn't dicern anything at all except polariser, and that was it. all the songs i was longing to hear over the years, i couldn't make out any. i drove home wishing i had never seen them. it was a weird feeling being so dedicated to a band and i almost flipped on the head of a coin about if i liked them anymore. I then subsequently watched them at 2000 trees and i thought it was even worse, the sound was bad and they were more interested in doing"wacky" stuff than playing their quite frankly boundary pushing incredible music.

again, i was left empty. since then its had to get behind them as i feel like they are just being weird for weirds sake. with the new music being so full-on its hard to grasp any of it anymore. thats the truth. i stopped following them, stopped watching updates, videos and their output. I felt now they existed and everyone loved them, 'my thing' with them had gone -. but now i am in a much better place in my life and mind, i reflect back on this and it was me that had changed they just did what they believed in. i was around people that didn't accept the un-ordinary and i got complacent which stifled my love for creation and the arts. i was cynical.

However. I watch this trailer, in a much more positive situation in my life, surrounded with creativity and passion and i can feel myself falling back in love with them. they are like no one else on the planet. no other band can touch them. they are always new and inventive. they dont care what you think. and these are the reasons why i love them. im ready to support you again and you inspire me once more. i cannot wait to see this movie. i think you're all brilliant. and always have been.
