Isn't it risky to expose the telegram to volunteers like that? Couldn't Russia insert counterintelligence people into it to try to cause disruption, or use it to help trace where the hacks come from?

There are many volunteers from western countries joining Ukrainian foreign legion. I don't see how hackers from other countries helping out is any different.

If Russia sees 15 year old Jonny hacking in from New Jersey as an act of aggression, then so be it. It seems to me that blowing up a hospital is one also.
Edited to add - it’s about time that SOMEONE can do SOMETHING without a gun or a tank or a government quango having to meet in order to save lives.
The photos of crowds of Ukrainians blocking the roads of tanks will not disappear. The Russian soldiers’ children and grandchildren will have to bear the shame.

Honestly it's something I can see happening more in the future: Governments etcetera just saying something like "We won't prosecute anyone who targets XYZ, if you can steal ten million dollars from them then congratulations: You have ten million dollars"

Ive been trying to tell people that this war will have lasting impacts on the world at least equal to the fall of the CCCP/USSR. We are living through a seismic shift in how modern technology and modern culture deals with armed and unarmed conflict, and things might be drastically different in just a few years time.
