This has to be the best EVER episode of Corrie for me! The tenderness, the passion, the flirty banter...this is EVERYTHING. I actually loved the sofa scene just as much as the kiss and the "get back in 'ere you" scenes. No awkwardness, zero regrets and both still totally in the moment. Coronation Street... thank you ❤🥵

American fan here! I've been watching on and off since Sophie's coming out storyline. I've always loved Carla. Alison King is one of my favorite British soap actresses along with Emma Atkins. I'm so happy you gave this opportunity to her. Let's not forget about Vicky! She has been a fantastic new edition to the show. These two are magic. Well done Corrie!

I grew up with Coronation Street on in the house, with Carla entering as a character just as I was in early adulthood. I knew Ali King from Dream Team, the first season of which still holds a special place in my heart. However, I haven't watched Coronation Street since I left home for university. I happened to be visiting my mother when the bonding scene in the car first aired and I said to myself: oi oi! 😂 I have tuned in and watched this slow burn unfold over a long series of months. As someone who doesn't normally consume soap opera, I think this kiss and the line leading up to it has objectively broken the internet and is better than any queer drama I've watched in a very long time. Credit to Ali King and Vicky Myers as well as the writing team who have genuinely made something transcendental with these characters. I do worry that it has peaked at this point. I am bracing myself Wandsworth-prison-inspired dodgy medical drama that they're throwing in front of this love story. It simmered enough without all that. ❤
