From my interpretations regarding the 49 days I imagine it’s a Buddhist reference. Anywho. I hadn’t heard this song in a few years. Always been an absolute gem. In the last year or so I had decided to take the route of sobriety and my mind has finally let me take control of myself. My actions. My thoughts and feelings. I remember shit from when I was a child. Just 2 days ago I spoke with my grandfather about him teaching me to take control of the horses. After that conversation I hopped in my truck and this song came on. After it ended I drove in for almost 4 hours aimlessly in silence. It felt oddly incredible. I’ve never lost myself like that. I felt like my mind opened up. I listened to this song on repeat and I cried happy tears. My mind really opened up. It’s weird what the power of music can do. Sturgill I respect you a hell of a lot. I played it for my grandfather and he said how have I never heard that? He thought it was from the 70s. Anyways. I’m signing off now there’s my thoughts.
