Landscape Photography CAMERA BAG HACK!

This landscape photography camera bag hack works great whether you're traveling to a photography workshop, major expedition, or just a family vacation. Whatever the trip entails, being comfortable will always add to your overall enjoyment whilst shooting landscape photography. Once I get to my final destination with all my photo gear, I've found that I generally don't need to bring all of it to every shoot location - so why not only bring what you need and leave the rest behind in the hotel or where ever you're staying? I've found that with a little advanced planning, I'm able to determine what gear is needed and not needed for a particular location. No sense lugging around tons of heavy gear that's never going to make it out of your bag. Now you don't need to use the exact items I used to create this camera back hack, any similar items will do, but if you want to take a look at the exact gear I used - I'll link them below.

Fascinating Mark, I've never been able to find the perfect bag so I take a similar approach for my gear using a selection of different cases and pouches and a non-photography rucksack.

Get a simple camera insert that is well padded and doesn't cost as much as a lens.

You can find them for $5 - $20 on ebay depending on size.

Great video Mark. I have been searching for a bag that does it all but have given up. The dedicated camera bags I like are too expensive so I ended up using different pouches and small camera bags inside a hiking rucksack. So far working out pretty good and as you described can be customised depending on what you need. 👍
