I use Waze in the U.S. all the time, I'm glad to know I can use it in England as well.

I like waze its good in portriat mode, but what alot of these reviewers do not do is test in landscape mode, if you change your head unit for an android head unit the satnav goes landscape, the biggest problem with that is, if your headunit is in normal position on the dash in the middle of the dash not like this guys one which is on top, the next turn and direction info is on the left of the screen and it pushes the arrow to the right of the screen, depending on the app, it means that when your driving you cannot see the arrow because your hand is in the way, alot of companies do this for some reason they make the box massive it doesnt need to be and no option to move it or remove it, I found navmii and sygic do have direction info but it is really small and at the top of the screen which puts the arrow in the middle of the screen, I find when the arrow is on the right it is dangerous and is a massive distraction for me, I wish these companies would let the user edit it, it seems to me that when the arrow is on the right it would suit left hand drive cars better, maybe they should put an option for right hand drive.

Any voice commands ? I didn't hear any, and with Waze are maps built in or you need to be using data ? and how quick are they to recalculate route if you choose to go a different way to directed. ?

Just tried Waze. As an experiment I looked at the route for my work and it was wrong.

Wade does not allow offline maps so it will eat into your data if you use it allot... 5he other two do...

Main problem with this article - most will be offline especially for long journeys which instantly rules out google maps due to their offline map update time limits.

Does Waze use up Data? Or is it getting information from Satellites like my Garmin GPS would do? Thanks....

The reason why Google Maps are so popular is not just simplicity but also accuracy and reliability. That's why I don't use Apple car play in my car since it makes me use Apple Maps. Those are just horrible. I once tried to search for a car wash and it took me to just some random house in a build up area (also it chose the most traffic heavy route). And this happens a lot with Apple Maps. Like wtf

You're very inexperienced with Nav apps. No internet connection- no Google or Waze. Downloaded mapping apps like Sygic which collects from Google, Waze and Garmin provides double the functionality without sucking down data for hours.

for me Waze it's not so good, because u can not put the exact spot on the map where you want to go, and other minor things.

How did you set google maps, the second app to display the arrow of your car pointing up instead of the map being north oriented ?

Here Maps is just horrible. Mazda uses it for their in-car GPS system. The first destination upon buying my (new, unused) car already got my hotel wrong, even though it has been at its current location for years. Tried to send a correction report, but their website is an even bigger disaster. I don't want anything to do with Here ever since.

For me, Waze and Google Maps share the first position, but they are far from perfect:
I like Waze, but it's a disaster to contribute to their Map Editor and some road reports about road closures will just disappear before you know it (even though setting it to "several days").

Google Maps was great in the days that MapMaker was live. Now, it's hard to update, since it requires intervention from Google staff and they don't always up-t-date information. I love the GPS for simplicity and lane assist. If only we could implement the Waze road reports into G Maps. (Which shouldn't be too hard, since Google owns Waze.) Even though Google Maps integrates some road incidents from Waze, it often takes time to be updated.

Only thing I don't like about google maps and waze is that they don't show the speed limit on the road
