No, love is not a chemical. It's an emotion that can be elicited by certain neurochemical conditions. It's caused by chemical interactions. It's not a chemical itself.

This is like saying that fire is a chemical. No, it's an ongoing reaction that INVOLVES chemicals but is not a chemical itself.

We all love science, medication is made using science. When your ill, just pray to Allah and take no medication.

The believer is attempting to categorize, in his view, what an atheist believes. Which varies wildly from one atheist to another. An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in a deity. That's it. That is the totality of the definition. Not what they DO believe but what they DON'T. If we started humanity over, every bit of science would be repeated exactly as it is. Physics, chemistry, biology. A deity or deities will absolutely not be the same. Want evidence? No, of course you don't. So take it on faith.

Just because something can be broken down into smaller components doesn't negate its significance. Water is just H₂O, but that doesn't mean it loses its importance as a life-sustaining substance. Similarly, love is shaped by our biology, but it encompasses much more—like shared experiences, connections, and personal meaning.

Being an atheist means I rely on evidence and reason, not denying the depth of human emotions. It's possible to appreciate the science behind our feelings while still recognizing their profound impact on our lives and relationships. So, no, I’m not upset; I just see the world in a more nuanced way than a purely chemical reductionist perspective allows.

It's chemicals and electric interactions. Wouldn't say neurons firing are "all chemicals" just because ions are involved. The charge is more important than the molecule.

If atheist means only believing in science and logic, wouldn't be logical to believe in a being that made everything, and somehow we can explain it with science doesn't that mean God is the greatest scientist of all, that is a truth that they refuse to see.
