I have been working from home now for several months and it was a very tough adjustment for me. As I've reflected on this I think the challenge was that I lacked definition when working from home between my career and being a husband and father. The essentials of who I am at any given moment during the work week have been blurred.

Trump focuses his energy at keeping the focus on the extreme irrational behavior of his worst critics. So there's very little discourse on any deep and meaningful level. It doesn't help that many of his political opponents are unwilling or incapable of distancing themselves from the most destructively cartoonish versions of their party

It seems to me if you want to speak out about the violence from the riots of the left you also have to play lip service to speaking out against violence from the right, even though they don't seem comparable by any measure. I have tried to understand how half the country could seem indifferent to the riots but yet insist Trump denounce right-wing violence. Thinking about this more I suppose it's more due to a packaged concept then just blatant dishonesty.

Version 2 - thinking about this even more I think alot of the left is at least sympathetic to the riots, thinking it's justified in someway, and also with the growing conception that minorities can't be racist by definition. Whereas there's no justification to allow white-male political violence at any level so they hyper focus on it.
