@5:35 - The explanation is wrong and most of the Indian mArket don't understand the difference between "REGEN braking" and "REGEN battery". Both the terms are different. The "B" mode on your gear is "REGEN Braking" mode. That simply means, the eCVT is operated on lower gears (Just like S and L on CVT automatic transmissions), which inturn provides a braking from the engine, specially useful in coming down a hill. The battery regeneration is however, not affected.

Now, move to MID, right side display chunk to find CHG. THS or Toyota Hybrid System supports "REGEN battery" indicated by CHG on MID, using 3 levels. The more you depress the brake pedal, you will see the CHG levels rising. These levels guide the THS to charge the battery. More levels, more quickly, you will see the traction battery getting charged up. So, like EVs you don't set the CHG levels. Hybrid driving styles are different than ICE. Basicallly it follows a concept known as "Pulse and Glide" or simply "Accelerate and Coast". If you don't follow it, THS will not provide you the best mileage. For the matter of fact, a good Hybrid driver can squeeze out a whooping 30-40 KMPL mileage. So ARAI 27.9 KMPL fo hybrids is just a benchmark number.

So if you don't like to "Pulse and Glide", "Bad driving habits and carelss" and "don't care about the people" on the road, then you should definitely get one. I am 200% sure, Hybrids will purify your soul. 😁

Engine roughness while starting ON each time... That's the big downer it's not seamless and not worth the Toyota Badge

Some times I made a mistake cancelling hyrider S hybrid due to long waiting in April 2023 and gone ahead with Skoda Kushaq DSG 1.5 ambtion
On road both are coming 19.4 plus but waiting period soo long that time
