TV star Sharon Osbourne explains the diagnosis and misdiagnosis that eventually led to the discovery that her husband Ozzy Osbourne has Parkinson’s disease, including Ozzy’s peculiar walk (especially while under the influence), his general shyness and a 2003 genome test alongside Stephen Colbert, which unveiled that Ozzy carries the PARK2 gene (or PRKN). Plus, Sharon touches on Ozzy’s multiple sclerosis and a spinal tap that confirmed one doctor’s suspicion. [Filmed September 2021]

I have had the same type 2 Parkin’s ever since I was a child.
It does not bother me I just hate when people accuse me of being high because of my constant tremors. There are medications that help me tremendously with this…but it is so hard to find a Doctor to give me these medications.

She's a strange bird too....I love OZZY just the way he is. Nobody's perfect. Neil Diamond's doing alright with his Parkinsons, too.🎩🤔

These issue come on so slowly that even the spouse is not always sure of what it is. My spouse had early cognitive decline and I knew something was off but not being a trained physician it's SO hard to diagnose. My husband also has a disease called CMT which is an odd gate, high arches and neuropathy. This has been coming on oh so slowly for over 20 years and again I thought this was part of the cognitive decline. Yopu cannot expect an untrain spouse to know these rare neurological diseases.

Please donate to Parkinsons research - ONLY if you can. This disorder is on the rise. I dont want to worry anyone but you or your family member could have it. We desperately need a cure/treatments and it can and will happen with enough money for research.

Yes he does. He's getting more fidgety with his body movements. It's quite obvious now

I feel the years of drug abuse are what set off his Parkinsons.
