Two big fat targets for Yemeni missles and drones. There are a limited number of anti air missles on the carrier escort ships and they can be used up in days if Yemen attacks are intense. Cheap drones at first, then ballistic missles to follow after defence degraded on escorts.
Cost of Yemeni drones is about $5, 000 each. American missles cost $1 million to $2 million each and at least two are fired at each target. Also resupply at sea for carriers and escorts is not possible.
A very expensive war for USA. Cost of Reaper drones lost to Yemeni fire is approaching half a billion dollars.
The Saudis and USA plus allies have been bombing Yemen for more than a decade with little result other than civilian starvation. In war, the military always eats before the people. An example is the Indian famine during the second world war when Churchill seized grain stores from India for the European war effort.
Yemen is the only country in the world with the moral courage to resist the Gaza genocide.
