I remember when CIS made this win. I was trading from Vancouver and I saw on Bloomberg a journalist talking about it was all verified and the people from Bloomberg couldn't believe he didn't check fundamentals. hahaha Epic.

Things to learn from CIS' documentary:
1) Risk to Reward should be optimal when it comes to trading in his early days
2) No strategy is permanent in markets, you have modify your strategy in order to adapt with the change in market dynamics
3) Markets are always superior no matter how much money or experience you have. Markets are unforgiving.
4) Retrospect where you went wrong instead of blaming the market and try to work on those negatives.

Took me a while to realize that while his statement is correct, is it anything but simple and loaded with nuance/complexity. Have admired him and his methods ever since, and your coverage of his story is excellent. Well done!

As a trader myself, when he first suffered his 5 million loss, I know what he felt. When in a bull market, everyone is a genius, even the shoe shine boy, when it reverses, your mind can't understand, can't see and can't anticipate a reversal. I mean the sun always rises right? Is it a pull back? Should I exit long? Will it continue up? Is it a reversal? All these questions are split second choices. Whether you trade 1 minute or 1 day charts the questions are always the same.

Tunnel vision, lack of awareness is a successful trader's worst nightmare. Make note of the word "successful".

CIS realized this and changed his game. Most traders don't survive long enough to do what CIS did. Most traders would hold their long positions till they get that margin call.

ik i'm late to comment but i've watched this video maybe 5 times since it was uploaded. Undeniably everytime I hear the line "One man had moved the Nikkei" I tear up a little.
