How to use Screen Pinning in Android Lollipop

Google has introduced a new featured called Screen Pinning in Android 5.0 Lollipop. I would say it's most useful for those of you with kids in the house or if your handing your phone to someone who has zero technical no how.

Screen Pinning allows you to "pin" any app you want so that the user cannot do anything else but use that particular app. For example, you could start up a game and hand it to your child. He or she won't be able to exit out of the game (at least easily) and send an email tell your boss to go to hell.

You can use at parties and so, e.g. when you are playing the songs and people at the party use your phone to choose the musics

What if you reboot the phone by taking out the battery. Will it still be pinned after start?

Tried this on my Galaxy note 3. Id lock an app, and when trying to unpin it, it would say "Press and hold the menu key to unpin". But nothing would happen. Tried two apps and every time id have to restart the phone to unpin it.

the only trick that work for alcatel 1 5033qr android 11 in 2022 May..hats off to you TalkAndroid..all the other newer method are not working in android 11..
1st - find that delete apps
2nd - open the apps menu
3rd - find setting and open
4th - open home screen & lock screen and change default home app
5th - add pin or password and register google account
6th - Done!! No need to install all the frp things
