Hello Brett, Hyperscale.com says that the “Gold series features finer surface textures and improved detail” but the Kinetic website doesn’t even show a Gold series. Interestingly this kit looks largely the same as the F/A-18/A+B/CF-188 version that I have (1 less seat of course), and it is a standard series. So if the base or common sprues are the same, I’m not sure how it can have finer surface texture. I remember you had another version of this kit, is there any chance you could compared the kits?
Despite all that - it still looks like a nice kit, hopefully I’ll be starting mine soon.

There are no stencil decals at all, neither for weapons nor the jet itself, whats this all about??
