Homemade Tear and Share Garlic Bread - recipes

3 cups (375g) bread flour
1 ½ tsp (8g) salt
3 tbsp (40g) extra virgin olive oil
below ingredients mix together, allow to bloom then add to flour
1 ¼ tbsp (12g) active dried yeast Mixed in the
⅘ cup (190g) lukewarm water, then add in the
2 tsp (10g) granulated sugar
knead for 10-15 mins or just use a mixer or bread maker Then leave for at least 40 minutes to prove,cover with clean tea towel.
extra butter for greasing tin and then
sprinkle of breadcrumbs/panko or cornmeal with some garlic power added to taste ,this gives extra crunch and texture on the outside.
Knock the air out of it and cut it in even pieces ,the amount is up to you .
Form a ball, then roll it underneath the cup of your hand to make it smooth. Place the balls in the pan ,leaving some space between them
Proof the dough balls for another 35-40 minutes, covered . Until doubled in size.
make up the garlic butter whilst proving then when ready,brush it over gently so that you don't squash your rolls before it goes in the oven.
Bake in a preheated oven,centre shelf at 375 °F (177°C), Gas mark 5 for 20 - 25 mins or until golden.
Garlic Butter
½ cup (110g) softened butter
1 tbsp (15g) extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
salt
pepper
dried parsley
Cheese or parmesan {optional }
Once your bread is out of the oven, immediately brush over the remaining garlic butter and finish with grated Cheese. allow a minute or 2 before you take it out of the tin x
