Space Marines battle alien invaders in the living corridors of a Tyranid Bioship! In this video, I unbox and paint up the contents of this awesome cosmic-meat-dungeon-crawler from 1993. I would recommend making digital scans of some of the tiles, objective markers and other paper and card stock items. These sets are truly worth their weight in gold and preserving that awesome art is important.
Edit: I would kill for the spider tyrranid, that's hilarious.

I loved Tyranid attack when I was a kid.
I used to work for GW many years ago, and one time, at a meeting the GW HQ there was a bit of a history lesson and when Tyranid Attack was brought up, I was the only one that gave a woop of excitement.

The amount of people who don't understand that that metal tyranid warrior was the first tyranid warrior released as opposed to the plastics with boneswords and deathspitters, is so astronomical it is mind boggling. I love seeing other people with them (though admittedly, I've acquired 18 of these beauties over the past decade and a half of collecting rt and 2nd ed tyranids, but seeing even one out and about is a joy!).

Remember a convention game where the host had gotten ahold of several copies of the TA and Space Hulk board tiles and used it to run a gloriously chaotic Tyranid Attack scenario against a overrun and partially converted ship. Good times.

Binging through the backlog of this channel (as well as a few others, similar ones) has given me so much joy over these last, trying weeks. Thank you for this.

I dabbled in 40K for a bit during 2nd edition, but soon went with WHFB instead, so I only ever followed 40k from a distance. Those years from ca. 1990- ca. 1996 will always be peak "Games Workshop" aesthetics to me, and I could never see myself get into any of their current stuff. But watching these channels has planted the idea to cobble together a couple of 2nd edition Space Marines off eBay and trying to get back into painting again, probably just recreating some patterns of old on them.

very nice set, that metal warrior is one for my wants card . always liked the design of those ones. I'm surprised with the screamer killer getting a revamp they didn't bring that style of warrior back under another guise

Absolutely love your Scythes paint job, really bold and striking, I still have my Tyranid attack, its in great condition, apart from a box corner, I only brought if for extra models and boards for advanced space crusade, but it was actually a great stand alone game, I also have several copies of Ultramarines, that was also a fantastic game, probably the most balanced game GW ever made 😂, I painted everything to match the unit cards from Ultramarines, so lots of war paint and funky colours.
