Alan Tudyk's Heihei Recording Session - #MoanaMondays

For this week's #MoanaMondays, go behind the scenes and get a sneak peek of Alan Tudyk lending voice to Heihei in Disney's Moana.

In all fairness, he acted Hei-hei exactly as well as a Juliard alum would be expected to. I really felt the idiot chicken was experiencing and projecting all of those emotions, and the stupidity came through with crystal clarity. Props to Alan for doing a great job with yet another role. <3

Alan Tudyk has to be one of THE most underrated actors/voice actors currently working today. Not only does he have an INHUMAN amount of range, but he masterfully pulls off every role he’s ever been casted for, no matter how big or small.

Yeah, but those were some really excellent, emotive chicken noises filled with character, and the reason why Hei Hei was such a funny and sympathetic character despite being just an average, non-magical, literal chicken.

I just love how accurate the voice is! 🐓
(I grew up around chickens, and I often made the same sounds too.
But he still sounds more like a chicken than I do, and that's saying a lot!)

Then again, a rooster in the recording room would be odd...
