Of course the exact time this went live (11/15/22 at 5pm CT) was the exact time news broke of a new plan to move the Royals out of Kauffman Stadium to a new downtown ballpark. Oops.

With the apparent plans to build a downtown park, I gotta make sure that I go in the next few years. Kauffman definitely seems to have some life left, however. Good video!

As a Cleveland fan I've never liked the Royals, but I gotta say I'm impressed by that stadium. The shape of the upper seating is pretty cool and I'm always partial to open layouts like they have in the outfield. Also, I had no idea that KC is associated with waterfalls, the fountains make a ton more sense now lol

I think the reason for a new stadium downtown would help keep the stadium full like Boston, Chicago and New York. However, this will not work or happen because our customs here will only support a winning team’s….from college to professional.

Aint nuttin wrong with the Kauffman stadium. Still looks ironic till this day. Billionaires are being very greedy.

The reason for the crescent shaped upper deck is that every seat inside the foul poles has a direct sightline to 2nd base. It was a really well thought out stadium when constructed.

Also, the original bullpens were perpendicular to the field with a row of seats up front for the players to watch next to the GA seats. During hot summer afternoon games, Closer Jeff Montgomery would spray the GA fans with the bullpen garden hose.

I hope they replace it with a stadium that keeps a lot of the same design elements, instead of looking like every other stadium built in the last 20 years

Great video. I am a big Royals fan and love that stadium. The waterfalls give it a feel that no other stadium has. It's a shame the Royals want to move.

The K is a ballpark on BEAUTIFUL AND ANAZING! You could spend the whole game navigating all the fun things to do and enjoy.
