Terraria's Mysterious World Border

Imagine if you died from world border suffocation and then the message reads: "Player went out of bounds"

The one thing that has always intrigued me in Terraria is the backgrounds, they have that special atmosphere I can hardly describe and they make me feel like there is much much more to explore out there

I really wanna see a mod that expands your world past the ocean and connects to islands with cool biomes and secrets.

A thing about this: it actually can be seen from the minimap (or at least I could watch the borders in the undergorund) and it can be corrupted too by corruption and crimson, so if you want to eradicate it completely, you still have to destroy the blocks in the border

The first time I learned of this border wall, was when it got corrupted and no matter how many times I passed over it with the clentaminator the beach would always get corrupted again

I remember ages ago, before I beat the wall of flesh, I was digging close to the edge of the world, and I suddenly got a cobalt chestplate. Picked it up from the very side. Dunno why it was there, and I’m pretty sure you can’t get cobalt before beating the WoF.

I love how Terraria and Minecraft both support each other and both even have the far lands

In Tmod loader I destroyed the out of bounds with the better zoom mod and the improved drill mount. I checked the map and it literally destroyed a part of the map.

Fun fact: if you have a second monitor and drag your mouse onto it while holding an auto swing item, (a good example is an auto swing boomerang) the boomerang will keep going off screen where your mouse would’ve been if you had a bigger monitor, if this works for the laser drill, and offscreen then you could try to break the wall

Plot twist:
The Devs added this feature into the game as a reference to what happens in Minecraft.
This is due to how both games treat each other with respect. This can be seen in the references both game have of each other (Terraria has creeper costume, Minecraft has a yellow text on the loading screen that says: "also try Terraria")

All I knew before was that on the 3DS version there was some blocks out of bounds in some places and you could break them.
Also in that version there is a fire flower from Super Mario World out of bounds in the bottom right corner of the world, only visible in build mode (exclusive to the 3DS)

What I think is happening is that after the game tells itself to stop making the ocean, it goes back to generating normal biome stuff, but since there’s only one or two columns left, it doesn’t generate much. Like those gaps, aren’t really gaps, they’re an attempt at a cave

You can actually reach outside the border if you drink a Dungeon potion (alchemistNPC) in a one-block world.
Do be aware though, it softlocks your game and you have to Alt-F4 out.
maybe going in there isn't the best idea.

in older versions (up to 1.2 i think) terreria didnt have an underworld border for anything apart for the player. liquids and enemies could go there. with my testing it didnt go far tho, only a couple of tiles down

I remember having a dream where I was able to go way more than the limit of space from terraria, when I was above the border it could only pass I saw platforms with at least 8 blocks gap between them and each platform has its own level and the higher the platform the stronger the enemy gets, each platform had more than 3 new mobs that I couldn't describe because they were entirely new ones, after a few months or years I forgot about that dream, but then around last week that dream came back to me and I remembered every single bit of that past dream after that,

I can't get pass through levels easily and I don't know how to, I remember fighting a boss on a certain level where it had its mechanics like golem, but with a weirder figure and was like blue and yellow something. I still remember what other creatures came each levels, they couldn't be described easily because it's something that I haven't seen and was completely new to it, it had looks like that blue/summoner pillar monsters, and the background wasn't even space for some reason, it had a view of a majestic beautiful clouds as a background, it was so beautiful I wanted it to be in game,

And btw, try using a portal gun.

This music is both jammin' and very creepy, especially if you know where it's from. Fits rather well with trying to experiment with the unknown.
