My wife has, and we are in year 6 of her FTD. It is such a terrible form of dementia and a gut kick to everyone involved. My heart goes out to the Willis family. Demi is spot on with her words about living with a loved one with this and being in the moment THAT DAY!. If you experience any form of dementia with someone you love it will change your life. I now listen to the birds chirping more often and enjoy life on a different level. I see the beauty of life and realize how precious every hour of every day is.

That's so true. People are so tied to reality they try to bring the dementia loved one back to our truth instead of participating in whatever reality they happen to be in. Sometimes the level of detail they recall from that time period is mind blowing.
