Exploring These Ancient Biblical Coins!

In this video we talk about ancient coins specifically from the Bible. These coins are also known as biblical coins. There are a few of the biblical ancient coins that stood out to me such as the Widow's Mite copper coins and the Shekels of Tyre silver coins. The Shekels of Tyre were the only currency accepted at the Jerusalem Temple and are the most likely coinage with which Judas was paid for the betrayal of Christ. Judas received 30 of the Shekels of Tyre coins for betraying Jesus and these coins can still be found today. I am not an expert on ancient biblical coins, but the guys at Harry's Coin Shop were able to explain what they all were to me. I love going into coin shops and seeing all of the unique and interesting coins. I hope these ancient coins were as fun for you to see as they were for me!

Those are beautiful coins. Although widows mite is not a very expensive coin, all those are very good examples that I could see going for 50-200$. They’re usually 10-20$ for an unrecognizable piece of bronze.. the shekel is also my favorite and I would send them in for grading. That coin can easily go for more than a thousand. A thousand is common but they can go for a few more.
