Thank you. I appreciate this, as I'm STRUGGLING with Hanon. My fingers are definitely lifting.

On the left hand, my pinky lifts up quite a bit. Question: the pinky (also, on the right hand, descending)...are you sliding it? I'm having a difficult time moving my pinky to the next key without lifting it.

Thank you!

I appreciate this a lot! That technique is not in the Hannon, but I must be aware to apply them all! I needed this, SPECIALLY when I see videos of people lifting their fingers off the keyboard!

I can't get a teacher, I work night shift, and money is tight, but my love to learn proper piano is what makes me search for this info!

Im excited to give this a shot! My music theory knowledge is bordering on advanced and I know how to construct nearly any chord, but my ability to play them in a musical way is not even at beginner level. That ends this year! It's January 3, and I will be able to play all these chords in all 12 keys by this time next year! 💪🏿 🎹✨️ Thanks for taking the time to share this for free

I'm sorry, I know this is an old post, but as a newer piano player, I'm confused by some of this advice - the last sentence in the Hanon book itself, under Part 1 No 1 says "Lift the fingers high and with precision, playing each note very distinctly" - so what gives?

Hey great video, i just had a question does you pinky move naturally to the next key? Because when i am playing I keep my pinky stuck on the key and when its time for pinky to play the note, only then i move my pinky to the next key. So is it correct technique or am i doing sometting wrong?

Is it worth practicing the inversions for the beginner part? It seems important, but I don't want to overdo it.

But the fingers never lift? Or there case they could be lifting?

Me: "but...but...I want it to give me proper technique 😢"

Thanks for the tips! They're already helping.
