The actors in this look so enthusiastic, authentic, and young. This is the type of representation that kids and teenagers needed. Can't wait to binge-watch this whole series.

What I like about the trailer is that they didn't spoil us, even just a single scene, of how romantic their relationship will be and left us hanging in the introduction...

I came out after watching heartstopper, it gave me confidence to finally push myself to tell my mother. And guess what, her response was not very much different from Nick's mom, only that I was crying incessantly. I am not lying about this. This series was a blessing and a trigger for me to realise reality. Made me realise that I should be myself, enough is enough!

Thank you so much team. Love from India ❤️🏳️‍🌈🇮🇳

As a 51 year old gay man, I thought this was incredible. I wish I had had a programme like this when I was a teen, it really would have helped me. I was unable to come out, had know one around me that made it a safe environment to come out, and gays people have been made to feel shame and humiliation their whole lives. These are difficult feelings to erase. But this show, such a beautiful, innocent, educational and important programme for teens (and indeed older people), i hope it makes it easier for them.

The way Charlie says "Hi" is almost breath taking, like how adorable someone could sound🤧

“You ever feel like you’re only doing something because everyone else is, and you’re scared to change?”

I get this feeling every day of my life… that just caught me so off guard.

It’s nice to read all the comments talking about how this show has helped them accept themselves as who they are, everyone deserves to live a happy and loving life

So, I'm an older guy who doesn't watch much television. I saw this on my Netflix and thought I'd give it a few minutes of watch time, fully expecting disappointment. Instead, I fell in love. NINE full series binges later, I still have real tears of joy and love sufficient to be wiped away by the end of episode 8. Heartstopper is a masterpiece. It's one of those very rare gifts of cinema that captures, enthralls, satisfies, and delights its audience. Thank you to Netflix and everyone involved in this production, especially Joe Locke and Kit Connor. Because, "My life is way better because I met you."

I just ADORE how natural the dialogue and characters are! Nothing feels "cringey" or over dramatic, just a cute and chill love story<3

I like that they have incorporated the 'fantasy' aesthetic of the graphic novel in the trailer. I hope it carries into the series as well.

This made my bisexual heart so happy. I teared up many times while watching it. I LOVED everything about this show! I binged it today and I just love how everything is so well done. The story, the build up, the cast, their chemistry everything is to the point. Nothing was under or overdone. We need more shows like this. 🌈💜❤️💚

I haven't read the original but this feels so realistic. The awkwardness in talking, casually mentioning murdering someone if they mess sth important and imagining things that didn't happen... all of these I do all the time. It's so fun to see something so casual yet so cute, I'll definitely watch it

I just finished this and it's weird to say, but this series was oddly therapeutic to me. My whole gay life, I've only ever seen depressing or traumatic coming out stories, young men getting kicked out of their house, hooking up with strangers and older men, society and parents being unaccepting, guys staying in the closet forever and all of that absolute MESS being the norm. It's sooo refreshing to see a naturally developing, healthy relationship between two teen boys taking the forefront in which nothing is too extreme, the classic pain narrative doesn't dominate, and conflicts are resolved fairly quick. And they're able to stand up for themselves and each other.

Also I love the bisexual representation, that's not something seen enough either. This is an amazing and heartwarming series, and I can't wait for season 2 (Netflix better give it to us, if they don't I'll riot because they have a bad habit of canceling whatever they want for no good reason)

I cannot express enough how grateful I am that this series happened. Upon watching this, I've experienced both identity and existential crisis. I have been on the closet for almost 3 years now and this series made me see how much I yearn for a support system, since I have been struggling on my own and suppressing my feelings. Two days ago, I came out as bisexual to my closest friends and I've never felt so free. Since then, I always wake up every morning with tears of joy knowing that I don't have to hide anymore and be able to open up to them. I love my friends so much.

'I was going to say I'd send him a strongly worded DM but murders fine too' quote of the year. Can't wait to watch this masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️

As a gay guy solidly into adulthood, I can’t imagine how much easier adolescence would have been if I saw a positive, uplifting coming-of-age story featuring a gay romance (based on the trailer). I would have felt seen. Glad the youth of today seem to be getting that.

I’m a whole 32 years old but fell in absolute love with this show. I wish I had this kind of media when I was young, but I’m so glad kids nowadays can have what I didn’t. This is such a feel-good show I can’t believe how obsessed with it I’ve become!

This show has made me feel so represented, I can't even explain it.

I went to a private school, that was dominantly men, where we wore uniforms, and I had to deal with closeted boys either making fun of me for being gay, or secretly wanted to kiss me. However, I met someone that was so kind to me and handsome, that I ended up having a crush on him. Even though he doesn't know this, I am thankful for him because he helped me get through the hardest times in my life. I can relate to both Charlie and Nick when watching this. I can relate to Nick trying to understand his identity, and Charlie just trying to survive high school and just wanting to be loved. I am so thankful that these books and show is so uplifting, because I feel so many LGBTQ romantic stories are so depressing and sad, and this isn't the case. It's nice to watch something that deals with real challenges, but also makes you go away "punching the air" and screaming yay. I am so thankful that we have a show like this, because I've never found a show before that has related to my past so much. I wish I had this in my teenage years, because I know it would have helped me so much when getting through those tough years.

Netflix, Alice Oseman, thank you. Thank you for making these beautiful characters and storyline.
