for anyone who got confused at 11:00, velocity is speed and direction and if the direciton changes then so does velocity, acceleration is change in velocity over time and if its not speeding up but is changing direction velocity is still changing which means its accelerating

Thank you so much. You have helped understand concepts in physics that a appeared hard at first.

A body at rest will remain at rest and body in motion will remain in motion until roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris.

Friction doesn't always cause something to stop. On a molecular level for sure.

Ok but it's like --> if the object is in motion and continues to stay in motion, and then it slows down, because, for example, there is the force of friction between a ball and carpet --> couldn't you also say that gravity always plays a part in being part of the net force, because without gravity, there would be no friction.

I might be overthinking a bit, but in the example of throwing ball B, if the answer is that it increases by 5, then why is the answer 5m/s2 and not just 5m/s? Wouldn't 5m/s2 = 25m/s, which is the final velocity? I think im just confused as to why we keep squaring m/s in this first law like the acceleration due to earth's gravity near the surface being 9.8m/s2. Why are we squaring please help 😭

i came here because my teacher ASSIGNED us for reporting in our physics lesson wherein we or us student don't have any idea what were doing or going to teach with our fellow colleagues

What about a golf ball in space?
If an astronaut throw a golf ball( or a dice)in space, did it stops floating? Or it will cruise forever/ perpetually?

Nitpicking but when we talk about force, we also talk about velocity, or directional acceleration and not speed because force is the product of mass (which is scalar) and directional acceleration. or in other terms, Vector= scalar * vector

If the speed is decreasing then the net force is there or not
