The problem with PicoPSUs and old hardware (Sharp X68000)

The problem with the PicoPSU and old hardware is simple, sometimes it just plain doesn't work on older machines. The Sharp x68000 is one such example with it's complicated soft power circuit.

The creator of the pico PSU mentioned that this is not good for the x68000 pro!

If you used a 4.7 ohm resistor, rather than a 4.7k ohm resistor as a pullup, then I would not expect this circuit to work correctly.

Can you recommend anything that would power a Sharp X68000 Ace. The original power supply has been converted to an old ATX PSU from a pc.
I was considering the pico as a replacement and a tidier job

I'm trying to find a tidy solution rather than have an ATX psu outside

Whats the model of pico? Same issue here Flex ATX psu boots with Pico Nope! buzzsound from speeker no boot.

That psu does not work with a pro x68000. Only designed for Expert, XVI, Super, and Ace. I have two of those and it works.
