Be a fly on the wall and experience the excitement as these top black opals are cut and polished for a friend in my workshop. Watch some of the best cutting I’ve ever done! My friend visited, unsure how to handle the best opals they had ever mined. They were on edge as I chopped and sliced these precious gems to perfection, but in the end, they were thrilled with the stunning results. Don't miss this behind-the-scenes look at the art of opal cutting!

I don’t understand how anyone could think a diamond is prettier than that. Just incredible. 🌈

For the first time in my life, I used the word dazzling. Brilliant is close.

I think that might be the most colorful opal I've ever seen. i didn't even know opals could have some of those colors. What a banger gem you just cut.

Wow. Every piece of that roughy came out totally mesmerizing. Saxton has the camera angle, distance, and focus just right here - like we are right there with you.

You said it best, Justin "holy dooley" The owners must be over the moon with that result. Be good to know what the single stone was worth in the rough and the retail value of the collection of cut stones. That'll demonstrate why the work of a master cutter is so important. You really didn't disappoint with this video, Squire. Thank you for sharing.

They knew who to bring it to. If anyone could bring out the best in opal it’s you. Absolutely stunning results 💥

Justin, I took up opal cutting as a (very self indulgent) hobby from watching your videos.

I can’t claim to have cut any gems like the beauties we see on this channel, but bringing a gem into the world that’s been sitting hidden for millions of years is an awesome feeling. Thanks for such great content!
