Hello! He’s so cute! You did a great job! I have some tips that might help you for your next 3d pen art project :) I would use a wood burning tool instead of a soldering tool. Wood burning tools are shorter in length (more control and you can get hard parts better) and come with many tips while a soldering tool don’t. You want a good/high quality wood burning tool that your able to control the temp. But you must make sure it’s stainless steel and not brass or it’ll make your project turn brownish streaks. Also need a really small torch gun or torch lighter (I’m not sure what they’re called sorry) you can attach parts ends by melting whatever it is you want to attach and it also will help get a smooth surface after wood burning and filing.

This is beautiful (and I'm not even a Pokemon fan)! I actually loved it with the texture of the 3D pen, before you smoothed it out with the iron. I'd love to see you do a Harry Potter character. You could do one with a big head and small body (like a Funko Pop style). P.s. The iron is used in sewing to iron out creases and hems in fiddly, small areas!

There is different plastics used in 3d printing. PLA is a softer low heat plastic vs ABS which takes much more heat to melt. PLA starts smoothing out at around 60°C. And ABS is close to 80°C. One positive of ABS is you can smooth it with acetone. Hope this helps! My toddler loves your squirtle.
