Theory-Tricky's father was born lower-class and used to be a skateboarder/street dancer before he married her mother and she made him give it up. He still regrets not fighting her on this, which is why he's so happy to see Tricky dancing like he used to and having fun.

OR-Tricky's mother was born lower-class (the heirloom necklace belongs to her husband's family) and she's very proud of herself for "rising above her origins." Which is why she's furious to see Tricky acting like any other street kid.

Gonna be honest this series is a great adaptation of the game! Im loving the lore and the character adaptations in this series. I hope it stays this way/doesn't get forced to change writing if bought by larger company
