It's good that we are in some sort of trade deal with Canada, New Zealand etc etc.

Could be wrong, but I believe that that 0.1% is based on current trade patterns, not considering an increased proportion of trade with these nations over time. I think it's a good idea, with very low current cost, and provides market access to a huge part of the worlds land area and all the resources that implies, as well as to large and growing markets.
