People who pretended to be poor are actually rich, so their friends and relatives won’t treat them like a bank.

Many people have gotten wealthy with real estate. A common practice of immigrants, years ago, was to work very hard to save up enough for a down payment on some property and choose a duplex or a triplex, then live in one part while renting out the rest basically having the tenants pay off the mortgage. Then they could leverage the equity to buy another property and keep repeating the same formula. Takes a few years but IT WORKS.

They're not secrets and we do share them. But not everyone does them.
As for the regular job, that's how to get seeds as you said. So one ingredient is to learn a skill that other people value, so as to earn enough to live and still invest.
As for debt, I think you may be right about real estate mortgages on rental property but other than that, the benefit of having no personal or consumer debt is wonderful peace of mind, including the house we live in ourselves.

Only saving cash in a bank will erode your asset away by inflation. The saved cash need to be invested to earn more money. 😂

Will incorporate these ideas to the best of my abilities today at 68. Feel immense anger at myself as well as parents, schools, church and so many people who only taught me how to fail in life and criticized my desires to improve myself professionally and financially. I grew up with low self-esteem, severe depression and deep internalized shame. Even with an ASD, I am emotionally healthier today --- but the traditional social institutions and their advocates can GO TO HELL for teaching generations of people to fail in life.
