I understand that there are few differnet storylines used to make these quick dramas. Most have the FL accepting horrific abuse (forced sterilzation, rape, beatings) from more than just the ML.

As i watched this video, I was struck with is this art imitating life? does the ML and the other inflicting abuse suffer emotional damage in their real life? Is this a common place in China? I mean do they abuse women like this? Is it common to drug and rape a woman? Are women in China really reduced to being victims or villians? Are all men this abusive? 😢😢😢
