Sandy Jen is co-founder and CTO of Honor, a comprehensive home care startup helping older adults continue to live comfortably and safely in their own homes as they age.

Currently providing care in California, Texas, and New Mexico, Honor offers a higher level of in-home care by combining the best professional caregivers with smart, easy-to-use technology that makes scheduling, delivering, and managing care simple and safe. Prior to starting Honor in 2014, Sandy was co-founder and CTO of Meebo, a consumer Internet company that helped consumers and publishers connect socially. She led Meebo's engineering team and eventually joined Google's social team after Meebo was acquired in 2012. Sandy visits the Mountain View office to reflect on the lessons that she learned during the first couple of years since launching Honor, to discuss how Honor is leveraging new technology to serve users who are often ignored or overlooked by the tech industry, and to share how her team is empowering care providers, older adults, and their families.

As a care giver for 18 yrs, I was fortunate to have good stna training from Elyria Easter Seals. I did not work for Easter Seals because I decided to take care of my mother without pay since she paid all my bills and I lived with her. I also had training with Lorain County Catholic Charities Senior Center before it closed its doors.

what's the pricing model? I presume it varies by caregiver etc. Is there any subscription fees for elderly using this service?
