I like this a lot! It is a little bit basic, yeah... but so is the reference photo. I love how you're not shy about tracing in the beginning process! I feel like most artist do that but pretend they don't, that's rather annoying. And besides, it's completely okay. Especially in the age when something that's a mash of other people's artworks and is fully created by a computer can be considered art to some

If you block out the far side of the face she looks really characterful. The rendering on the near eye nose and mouth all are facing further left than her head is, so maybe just repositioning her head to be in more of a profile position would fix this sketch

what makes a character interesting is always in the eyes, always showing or telling you something in the eyes. Usually why i generally prefer to draw subjects that are thinking about something rather than just posing.

I think maybe because what really stood out in the picture was her big round doll eyes, and u kinda made them more cat like it lost some of the character. Still great piece tho

Personally, I think the main thing that’s looking kind of unbalanced is the eye on the right. It looks very big and very long on the face.
It’s still a really cool work, tho!!

I have trouble processing what facial features look like so I trace over a face to try and get a feel for how the persons eyes are shaped or mouth then I start to draw it in my style. I see the face but for some reason I can’t process what kind of features they have-

I do this alot many people i know irl when the see me they would say "your realy good at traceing" it always feels like a crime, i just like useng the refrance as a base to speed up the prosses and so that i can have more accurate shadows
