If you have a Roland V Drum pad that isn't triggering properly you can use this work around to extend the life of the cone and put off buying a new one. The price? Three small washers! :)

Brilliant hack, thanks for sharing. This worked perfectly, and enabled me to gig with my Pd105 while I wait for a replacement cone to arrive.

Haven't plugged my drums in for 5 years. Using it a ls a practice kit. Finally decide to plug it in. Bass drum and cymbals is all that's working. Pull the heads and grab a flat edge. Lol. My cones were about a full cm from the heads. They were so smoked. I tried 2 washers and it was a little better but still inconsistent. Can't get proper cones, so I guess I'm getting a new kit.

I ran into the same issue as yourself, and solved it using furniture felt! I've just uploaded a video on it! How did you get on with the screen? That's my next issue to tackle too!

I am really disappointed that these expensive pads don't let you adjust the trigger cone height .
